Marie Foreman Celebrant
About Me
I have a background in education and events. I love to travel, and I speak French and Spanish. Following two close bereavements, I was inspired by a brilliant celebrant to train as a civil funeral celebrant. I trained with Civil Ceremonies Ltd, the UK’s leading training body, and have passed the highest possible national qualification in Funeral Celebrancy in the UK – Level 3 Diploma. I have also completed the Level 3 Diploma in Naming and Couples Celebrancy. By using a celebrant trained by Civil Ceremonies Ltd, you know you will be in a safe pair of hands.
I have a husband and two children, one of whom is married with a beautiful daughter. I live in Cambridge and spend my free time reading, keeping active and travelling. I love to visit new places, so if your ceremony is further afield it would be no problem for me.

As a qualified celebrant, I offer a bespoke service that is individual and unique. I work with sensitivity and empathy for a reassuringly personal and professional service. I am very flexible in my approach and am happy to include some religious content in ceremonies if required.
I will help you to plan the best funeral for your loved one. I bring a gentle warmth and kindness to help you during this difficult time, making one of the most difficult goodbyes into a special day.

If your ceremony is a happy occasion, be assured that we will work together to make it perfect.
By nature I am friendly, caring and respectful. I will work with you to create the kind of service that you would like. I will be there every step of the way to support and guide you, and to help you to be as involved as much or as little as you wish.

I am a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants, and work to an agreed Code of Practice. I will work with you to create and deliver a truly personal ceremony.
