Bespoke ceremonies
Planning a funeral or a memorial service is a difficult task to undertake at a particularly distressing time. If you are using a funeral director, I will work alongside them, I can help guide and advise you and your family during this period. You will have every opportunity to discuss all aspects of the ceremony, particularly the tribute or eulogy. The choices are yours and you may wish to include music, poetry and readings. You and members of your family, friends or colleagues may also wish to participate. Together we can plan the order of ceremony and exactly what will happen. At every stage you will be able to approve or amend the content. You will also receive a presentation script of the entire ceremony to keep afterwards.
Usually, we will meet in person to begin to plan the service. I can come to your home, or meet you at another place that is convenient for you. If it is easier, we can talk on the telephone or via Zoom. I will then draft the ceremony, email it to you so that you can check it and make any changes necessary.

Designing your own ceremony (pre-need)
This service allows you to play an active part in planning your own funeral ceremony. The whole ceremony, including the tribute, can be planned in advance so that it includes everything that you want to be said and everything you want to happen. Once you are happy with it, the full script and details can be kept until needed.
Wherever possible, I will lead your service, if that is what you would like; but we can discuss options if this is not possible.

Tribute writing
Perhaps you would like some help writing a tribute that you or somebody else will deliver. I can write the whole tribute or edit your own draft and help you to prepare it so that you can deliver it confidently on the day.
